POSNER, DAVID BEN NAPHTALI

POSNER, DAVID BEN NAPHTALI (mid–17th cent.), talmudist. David lived in Posen and then in Krotoschin. He was the author of Yalkut David (Dyhernfurth, 1691), a collection of Midrashim serving as a kind of supplement to the Yalkut Shimoni. The material, edited by his father, Naphtali Hirsch Shpitz, is arranged in the order of the weekly Torah portions.
